Class Overview

Celebrate fall at Remlinger Farms with fire, glass, pumpkins… and ghosts.

This special September and October torchworking class arrives just in time for our Great Big Fall Harvest Pumpkin Festival and Pumpkin U-Pick season, making it a perfect addition to a fall day at the farm.

Students will use real flame and molten glass to sculpt two adorable miniature creations to take home: a clear glass ghost and a colorful swirl pumpkin.

This two-hour hands-on class focuses on carving, sculpting, bending, and shaping borosilicate glass using traditional torchworking tools and techniques. Designed for complete beginners as well as those with some experience, students will discover how molten glass can be manipulated into organic shapes while creating texture, detail, and dimension.

Each participant will create and take home two unique glass pieces:

  • A Clear Glass Ghost, perfect for hanging up for Halloween
  • A Color Swirl Glass Pumpkin, a one-of-a-kind fall decoration

No prior experience is necessary. Whether you’re visiting Remlinger Farms for Pumpkin U-Pick, spending the day at the Fall Harvest Pumpkin Festival, or simply looking for a completely different fall experience, this class is a chance to trade the carving knife for a torch and make a pumpkin that will last a whole lot longer than October.

**All students MUST arrive 30 minutes prior to class for check-in, waiver approval and to grab your seat – NO EXCEPTIONS**
